Koren Berkovich (b. 2003, Hod Hasharon, Israel) is an Israeli musician, drummer, producer, and composer currently based in Boston, MA. Koren began his musical journey at the age of 8, performing with various bands and orchestras. He gained extensive experience in live performance, studio recording, and collaborating with artists across a wide range of genres. At 13, he began studying classical theory and ear training, laying a strong foundation for his musical development.
He received his formal jazz education at the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, where he was a student in the Jazz Department. During high school, Koren attended a summer program at Berklee College of Music, where he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship for Berklee's four-year bachelor's degree program. After graduating, he served in the Israel Defense Forces as an "Outstanding Musician" at the GLZ radio station. He is also a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) scholarship.
Koren is currently completing his studies at Berklee College of Music. While in the United States, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage alongside renowned artists such as Eduardo Betancourt, Kenny Werner, and Miguel Zenón.
